Goldio is a gold and silver price tracking application. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we handle data in our app.

Data We Do NOT Collect

Goldio does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. Specifically:

• No personal information (name, email, phone, etc.)
• No account or login required
• No location data
• No device identifiers or tracking IDs
• No usage analytics or behavioral tracking
• No advertising identifiers (IDFA)
• No cookies or web tracking

Data Stored Locally on Your Device

The following data is stored only on your device and is never sent to any server:

• Your app preferences (language, currency, theme)
• Price alerts you create
• Cached exchange rates for offline use

This data is stored using Apple's standard UserDefaults and can be deleted by uninstalling the app.

Network Requests

Goldio connects to the following services to fetch publicly available market data:

• Gold-API.com — Gold and silver spot prices
• FreeGoldAPI.com — Historical gold price data
• ExchangeRate-API.com — Currency exchange rates
• Google News RSS — Public gold-related news headlines

These requests are made solely to fetch market data. No personal or device data is sent to these services.

Third-Party Services

Goldio does not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. We do not share any data with third parties.

Notifications

If you enable price alerts, the app uses Apple's local notification system. Notifications are generated entirely on your device and no data is sent to external servers.

Children's Privacy

Goldio does not collect data from anyone, including children under 13. The app is safe for all ages.

Data Deletion

Since we don't collect any data, there is nothing to delete from our servers. To remove all locally stored preferences, simply uninstall the app from your device.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
